Today’s the Day! My 48th song in the #OneSongAMonth project is out now! 🎉 This time, I’ve done something I’ve never done before... I’m rapping! 🎤🔥 And not just any rap—this is a special collaboration with my girl KimTina MalmCrona a.k.a Missy Crown 👑, marking her 9th feature in this project! 🎶 Why Rap?Because I actually grew up with rap! My favorites? Lauryn Hill, Eve, Missy Elliott, and Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes—all major inspirations. But this track isn't just rap; it’s a swing jazz-inspired song with flavors of the 1930s and Gatsby vibes ✨, blended with my signature old piano sound and contemporary production. Because why not mix vintage swing with some bars?
💡 The Meaning Behind "God Mama" It’s no secret that I use the word Mama in a lot of my songs—ever since I wrote "Yo Mama is Trying to be a Rockstar." And guess what? The lyrics "Yo mama is back with my song and my hashtag" in this track are a direct nod to that. It’s part of my whole concept—being a mother who’s fully dedicating herself to a creative project, despite the everyday strife. I’m doing this on my own terms, as an independent artist who just wants to share my music and creations with the world. With this project, I hope to grow my YouTube channel and reach more listeners.
