Hey my dear friends! 🌸
Here we are again — a new month, a new song, a new story.
This is already my 53rd song in the #OneSongAMonth project… and somehow, each one feels like its own little world. 🌍✨
This month’s world is called Inner Child. It’s a song that surprised me, because I didn’t try to force it into a genre or a box. It floats somewhere between country storytelling, 70s Woodstock vibes, and a touch of futuristic pop. It feels free — just like the child it’s about.
And that’s really the heart of it. We all carry an inner child inside us — sometimes joyful and playful, sometimes overlooked and in need of care. Writing this song reminded me how important it is to listen to that voice, to hold its hand, and to let it be seen. I think many of us can relate. 💛
Musically, this track is one of those layered, soulful journeys: I’m playing rhythm guitar, bass, piano, and all the other instruments — including a little yoga-inspired instrument that found its way into the mix (because why not? 😉). My partner Francisco De Silvestri plays both rhythm and the beautiful solo guitar in the outro, giving the song its glowing warmth. 🎸
This summer we spent evenings at Härlanda Tjärn — swimming, playing guitar, just soaking in nature. That’s where the music video was filmed too, the day before release. Simple, raw, and exactly how I wanted it: like a warm summer night by the water. 🌊☀️
