Fly on my wall
Fly On My WaLL - is the first release in 2022 where Melisha explores new paths and influences in her music. With a Matrix-inspired music video, in light of the fact that the fourth Matrix film was recently released in cinemas, she realizes her philosophical ideas in a soundscape where she explores and tries to convey strong electronic female and feminist vibes.

Melisha wears a red dress in the music video that resembles the forgotten, nameless character in The Matrix (1999) called "The woman in the red dress" She is in the film a computer program created for the purpose of distracting and stimulating the opposite sex. But in the audiovisual rendition of "Fly on the wall", she gets an "upgrade" that hopefully gives the character new dimensions.
Among Matrix's philosophical references to Jean Baudrillard's Simulacra and simulation, Plato's allegory about the cave, Socrates 'visit to the Oracle of Delphi and Descartes' work, Matrix's most insignificant and forgotten portrayal of a woman in red has become what Melisha created a work around.
The title "Fly On The Wall" is also a reference to our human society as it has evolved today where we are digitally tracked by algorithms that track and influence us and our actions, whether we are aware of it or not.
When The Matrix was released in 1999, the film really made us question what is real, which is more and more relevant because of the personas and lives we all create online.
